Survey on uremia

Uremia, a condition also known as uremic syndrome or azotemia, is caused by the build-up of waste products in the bloodstream due to kidney failure. The kidneys are responsible for removing toxins and excess fluids from the body, but when they stop functioning properly, these waste products accumulate and can cause a range of symptoms. These might include fatigue, loss of appetite, nausea and vomiting, confusion, seizures and even coma in severe cases. Uremia can affect people at any age but is more commonly observed in older individuals with pre-existing conditions such as diabetes or high blood pressure. If left untreated or unmanaged over time, it can lead to permanent damage to multiple organs throughout the body including the heart and brain.
